$5........no, seriously

OK, got some good stuff coming to town during the SXSW frenzy but we all know how it can be when you have the marquee charging parking+tickets+$20 bottles of water and every band in town is trying to all play on the same days. Nobody can afford to go to all those shows, it's insane.

So for 3 days in a row in the middle of all this insanity we have 3 awesome shows with (what I consider to be) incredible bands, all for $5 a night.

This means you can probably buy your friends ticket too. All that matters is that these bands get a chance to blow your brains out and everyone gets to cram into these rooms and have a moment you can only really experience once a year.

No excuses this time. Can't say "I don't have any money" or "that's too expensive" or "I spent it all going to see Jesus go fuck himself on stage because some blog said it was one of the most important bands to watch of 2010, because 2010 just started..."

here we go....

UNTIL THE LIGHT TAKES US

UNTIL THE LIGHT TAKES US is one of the best documentary movies I've seen in a while. I'll be honest I don't watch that many documentaries, so I guess I would have to say...."UNTIL THE LIGHT TAKES US is one of the best documentaries I've seen in my small world of viewed documentaries.........glad I was able to clear that up, anyways...".

It's very depressing, but those guys seemed to be the type of people that are living in eternal turmoil. You could try to see past the things that hold you back emotionally or physically but your choosing to live this exact life. Nothing wrong with that, and if I was in that position I'd be the same way if not, more dramatic and worse. I'm not a drama queen, but I don't think I could handle that much attention well, I'd probably try to milk it. *shrugs*

Def gave an insight of things I've only heard second hand or have read about online or books. It's brutally honest, and incredibly informative.

The Singer of Men At Work is a cock-eyed BASTARD!!!

After learning that he named his label Lazy Eye Records, one could assume that Colin Hay (singer of pop chart sensation Men At Work) seems like the kinda Aussie that can take a joke.

As a kid I remember watching infomercials about compilations on sell (for ONLY 19.99 NOW!!!) that had a list of the most recent top charting hits, that would come on during the commercials between Count Duckula, You Cant Say That On Television or whatever I watched back then.......Golden Girls, In The Heat Of The Night, I WATCHED THEM ALL!!

I remember when it would play "Who Can It Be Now" by Men At Work, they previewed the sequence of the music video that zoomed up to his crazy ass eyes. For years I thought he said "....look at me now....", and for even longer I thought when I saw that scene that he was doing some trick or showing off some random skill. You know, like how that kid in the 3rd grade who could flip his eyelids inside out and let them stay there giving him an incredibly creepy look that kind of startled you at first, but once you realize what was going on you totally wanted to know how to do it too. Especially since anything outside normal could impress any girl at that age, and every boy had absolutely no real conscious sensation of fear to embarrass himself to impress a girl for the sake of attention.

I wanted to do that!! I grew up actually trying to do it too. I actually put in effort to try to make my eyes do the crazy shit his eyes do. NADA!!!

Anyways, that's what I thought and 2 hours ago I had a major fucking update my the knowledge bank of pointless shit. Now I have the best conversation starter for anyone above the age of 26.

Good for you Colin Hay, your heavily reggae influenced vocals, over acted music video performances and that creepy fucking eye.

PS. I love you

I love Tucson

supposedly Zach, the Guitarist of Fear Before The March of Flames (on tour doing lights for Fall of Troy) got his jaw broken last night in tucson, because he's Zach, the Guitarist of Fear Before The March of Flames on tour doing lights for Fall of Troy.

If it wasn't bad enough that no one gives a shit about those bands. That's what I call a bad fucking day if you ask me. Hang in there bro.
